This webinar brings together prominent voices advocating for human rights and Indigenous Peoples' rights to reflect on the findings of Cultural Survival’s annual “In Memoriam” report, which documents the killings of 46 Indigenous defenders of land, territories, and rights in Latin America during 2025, revealing the profound systemic crisis that Indigenous Peoples face as they strive to protect their territories and ecosystems.

Latin America continues to be the most dangerous region in the world for environmental defense, particularly for Indigenous Peoples. This webinar offers a space to analyze the structural causes, patterns of impunity, and limitations of state actions to protect Indigenous defenders, while highlighting emblematic cases and exploring alternatives to strengthen protection and justice for those who safeguard life and the land.
