Father Nicholas Andruchow has been doing God’s work caring for hundreds of Baja’s orphans and building over 500 houses for the poor for the last 30 years at St Innocent of Alaska Orphanage in Rosarito, Mexico. Beginning with raising pigs, Fr Nick began by collecting scraps from the restaurants to teach his boys how to make a decent living in Baja’s fertile soil. As profits were put back into land acquisition to grow their own feed, the focus of their agricultural efforts has evolved into growing figs and manufacturing artisanal preserves for sale to the general public.
