The City of Henderson marked Indigenous American Heritage Month with a lively celebration at Water Street Plaza on November 11. The celebration educated the Southern Nevada community during the event with songs, music, dancing, and storytelling. The smell of fresh fry bread filled the air as the drumbeats guided the dancers. The celebration offered our local tribes, as well as out-of-towners, a chance to come together and celebrate this beautiful culture. Indian Voices was there and really enjoyed the event. Please enjoy the pictures and prayers to everyone as we embrace a new year! Happy Holidays from the Nevada Indian Voices staff!
