The multicultural community of Barrio Logan was filled with traditional and nuevo tastes during the second annual Sabor del Barrio. The event, which took place on Saturday, September 8, included trolley rides to over seven stations in different areas of the community. The rides started at the Northgate Market and extended near the Athenaeum and Chicano Park. There was everything from carnitas, queso birria, and seafood to lumpia, tangerine ice with tajin, samples of homemade jicama beer, smoked turkey and collard green tacos, churros, burgers, risotto, and tacos. The community welcomed the tasters with open arms, and the hot day was filled with treats and beautiful surroundings.
