WorldBeat Cultural Center started out Black History Month with a wonderful, fun-filled, Reggae Sip and Party and fundraiser hosted by W.B. of Cynthia’s Artistic Expressions. In honor of Bob Marley’s birthday, the participants were each given a canvas with a drawing of Bob Marley, drawn by W.B. who is an amazing artist. They were each given an easel, paints and paintbrushes, and as they sipped African palm wine and listened to Bob Marley’s albums, W.B. gave them step by step instructions for painting their red, gold and green silhouette portrait. With his guidance they were able to transform their drawings into bold, colorful and vibrant masterpieces. It was a very joyous event and all of the participants seemed to have had a great time and were very happy with their finished paintings. Thank you, W.B. for such a fun-filled event.
