It’s no secret that families are struggling under the Trump Administration. His bad policies, from the Iran war to blanket tariffs, are making life unaffordable for so many Americans.
That’s why I know President Trump and his Republican allies are worried they will lose the election in November. So, instead of supporting every citizen’s right to make their voice heard, they’re trying to rig the game and make it harder for Americans to vote. Except it’s not going as planned; across the country, Americans are standing up and pushing back.
In March, Trump issued a sweeping Executive Order that mandated states share their mail-in voter lists with the federal government and redesign election mail, disenfranchising millions of Americans, including in Tribal communities. Thankfully, that Executive Order has been blocked for now by a federal judge, and I’ll keep fighting to ensure that Trump can never implement this outrageous plan.
In June, the Supreme Court struck down an effort by the Republican National Committee to prevent states from counting mail-in ballots that arrive after Election Day, even if they are postmarked by Election Day. The ruling, which was supported by a Trump-appointed Justice, was yet another rebuke of Republican efforts to restrict voting.
I know that when the American people stand up and use their voices, Trump’s attacks on American democracy will fail. I will never stop fighting to protect your rights.
