Republican and Democratic members of the House of Representatives form North Carolina introduced the Lumbee Fairness Act last week in Congress, three days before President Trump took office. As President-elect, Trump said he would sign a bill granting the Lumbee Tribe federal recognition if such a bill was put before him.
