The June (Monday, June 10th) meeting welcomed Congresswoman Dina Titus, a true crusader in the fight to save Medicare. She greeted the guests with a big smile and her usual “go get it” demeanor. She has been fighting for Nevada for more years than I can remember. Her record definitely speaks for itself!

This month, the guests had a few celebrities of their own like Doug Basham of “The Doug Basham Show.” His show was voted Entertainment of the Year at the Excellence in the Arts Awards. It is one of the highest-rated talks shows in Las Vegas.

Veterans were also represented by attendees such as Twanna Weatherspoon. Twanna is with the Cold War Patriots and PCM. She helps former and current nuclear weapons workers (Nevada Test Site) access the EEOICPA benefits they deserve.

Also in the crowd was USAF Veteran Dave Crete. Besides being a local real estate broker, he is also the founder of The Invisible Enemy, which is a non profit that advocates for veterans who served on the Nevada Test and Training Range. He served at the Tonopah Test Range from 1983-87.

It was a great meeting as usual as we fight for the rights of our seniors, retired and active union members, and for all of Nevada.
